Be Proactive About Driver’s Drowsiness

Did you know that nearly 40% of all accidents on the road are caused by drowsy drivers?

Driver fatigue is the cause of an estimated 100,000 crashes annually resulting in more than 40,000 injuries, according to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration. The agency’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) indicates an annual average of 1,544 fatalities due to driver drowsiness related accidents. Add to that the cost for insurance, damage to property and vehicles, legal fees, and other collateral cost and it is clear that there is a problem that needs to be addressed. Some of the technologies currently used today are efficient when the driver actually falls asleep, but wouldn't it be much more efficient and proactive to act and alert the driver and dispatch when the first signs of fatigue show up? This is exactly what we do.
